Earlier today, when the New York Times first reported Donald Trump's nomination for EPA Administrator, Scott Pruitt, the headline read like this:
Now, if you know anything about former Oklahoma Attorney General Pruitt, you know calling him a "Dissenter" is letting him off the hook. This is the same Scott Pruitt who calls himself a "leading advocate against the EPA's activist agenda." And the same Scott Pruitt who coordinated a "secretive alliance" with energy industry lobbyists, as was reported in the New York Times.
Needless to say, the scientific community was not happy with the dissenter categorization.
Apparently, the Times heard their complaints. Within a few hours, the headline was changed to reflect...well...the sad reality of the situation.
We say bravo, New York Times. Next time, just get it right the first time. Call a spade a spade.
