314 Action Fund Endorses Bale Dalton for Florida’s 7th Congressional District

June 29, 2026

(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — 314 Action Fund today endorsed Bale Dalton for Florida’s 7th Congressional District. Earlier this year, 314 Action named FL-07 as one of the top under-the-radar races to watch.

“As a decorated Navy Captain and NASA’s former Chief of Staff, Bale Dalton dedicated his life to protecting and serving Americans and advancing scientific innovation. Now, Bale Dalton is running to protect and serve Floridians in the 7th Congressional District and replace Cory Mills,” said Shaughnessy Naughton, President of 314 Action. “As an accomplished leader, veteran and champion for space exploration, Dalton ran one of the most effective federal agencies — helping lead discoveries at NASA to ensure America remains a superpower in science, space and innovation. Voters in Florida’s 7th Congressional District deserve better than Cory Mills, that’s why we’re proud to endorse Bale Dalton. We look forward to supporting his campaign to flip this district in November.”

“For too long, Cory Mills has turned his back on this district to fight his own battles, while Florida families face higher costs and attacks on their freedom—but I’m running to change that.” said Bale Dalton. “I got into the race because our district deserves better. With Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare on the chopping block, I’m running to fight to ensure Floridians get the benefits they have earned and restore access to affordable healthcare. I’m proud to be endorsed by 314 Action who understand the importance of electing pro-science leaders.

Bale Dalton is a decorated Navy Captain and former Chief of Staff at NASA and has always answered the call to serve America. He served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve for 24 years, 13 years on active duty, with deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and the Pacific. As a Navy helicopter pilot, Dalton flew medical evacuation missions in Kuwait, delivered relief after Hurricane Katrina, supported special operations in Iraq and Africa, and directed combat air support in Afghanistan. As NASA Chief of Staff, he managed 16,500 employees and helped run one of the federal government’s most effective agencies.

Dalton was added to 314 Action’s list of top under-the-radar races to watch. Dalton has consistently outraised Rep. Mills by a 4:1 margin since launching in November.
