We are the only national organization working to recruit, train, and elect Democrats scientists to office.
For the past decade, 314 Action has elected over 600+ scientists and doctors to office up and down the ballot. Every issue benefits from having a scientist at the table from healthcare, technology and protecting our environment.
- Voters prefer candidates with backgrounds in science and medicine (+58) over those aligned with the MAHA agenda (+11) by a nearly 6-to-1 margin.
- Voters trust their family doctor, nurses and scientists the most. More than 2 in 3 voters also trust scientists (79%) and medical researchers at major universities (76%).
- Nearly half of swing district voters (44%) and Independents (42%) say health in the U.S. has declined in the last year. 35% of all voters say it has stayed the same.

Our Services
314 Action is the only organization of its kind that combines national advocacy with operational support for electoral campaigns. We provide hands-on support for local, state, and federal campaigns.
We identify STEM leaders who would make strong candidates, recruit them to run for office—from local offices to the U.S. Senate—and provide game-changing support. 314 Action provides a range of candidate services and resources to STEM candidates new to politics.
Our candidate services include:
- Training opportunities (media training, leadership development, staff retreats and team-building etc.)
- Operational support (hiring staff, financial planning, polling)
- Strategic guidance (campaign planning, messaging guidance)
- Day-to-day support to candidates and staff
- Financial investments to ensure candidates have resources to win competitive races
