About the Candidate
From Homeless to History-Maker.
Dr. Amy Acton is a living healthcare hero, who went from homeless to the first woman in Ohio history to serve as the State's Director of Health. Before the age of 12, she had moved 12 different times and even spent a brutal winter living out of a tent as child. With the support of her community, teachers who invested in her, and her relentless work ethic (including working multiple jobs while being a student), she went on to go to medical school, practice medicine, teach aspiring doctors, and work with countless non-profits across Ohio. All the while, she never forgot about the many Ohioans who feel left behind and can't get ahead.
As Director of Health, she earned international praise for her leadership addressing the opioid epidemic, including securing the largest settlement against pharmaceutical giants on behalf of families, and led the state during a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic.
Amy's never run for office before: But she decided to run because the best way she can provide for her patients and communities like the ones she grew up in is to be their fearless fighter as Governor: If elected, Amy will become the first woman doctor Governor in American history AND become Ohio's first woman Governor.
Polling confirms Amy can win Ohio and flip it back to blue for the first time in 20 years: Ten different polls have the race virtually TIED with half of them showing her surging into a 1-3 point lead. But to overcome the tens of millions that her billionaire Big Pharma opponent, Vivek Ramaswamy, will spend to rig this race Amy needs us. Her average donation is less than $30.
It will take all of us pitching in to win Ohio and elect Amy: Will you take a moment to pitch in to her campaign today? Your support goes the furthest TODAY!
