314 Action Fund vs. MAHA Action: Kevin Kiley Receives Check from Anti-Vax PAC in Race for CA-06

Yesterday, MAHA PAC named Rep. Kevin Kiley among six House candidates receiving $250,000 in support, deepening his ties to RFK Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again movement. In response, 314 Action President Shaughnessy Naughton released the following statement:

“This is chump change for Trump’s chump,” said Shaughnessy Naughton, President of 314 Action. “Kevin Kiley calls himself an independent but MAHA PAC exists to elect Republicans. RFK Jr.’s team knows exactly who Kiley is—a “MAGA champion” who was endorsed by Donald Trump. With a little over two weeks until Election Day, this token of appreciation from the anti-vax club won’t go very far. Dr. Richard Pan has the money, message and momentum to win and we look forward to electing him to Congress on November 3rd.”

In CA-06, 314 Action Fund has invested $5.1 million across TV, digital and mail supporting Dr. Richard Pan. This represents the pro-science group’s largest investment in any candidate in the midterms and dwarfs MAHA PAC’s measly investment in Kevin Kiley, announcing $250,000 split six-ways, yesterday. Overall, the group has spent less than $1 million this cycle, which pales in comparison to 314 Action Fund’s historic spending in 2026, totaling nearly $30 million.

Dr. Pan has been one of RFK Jr.’s most persistent opponents on vaccine policy for more than a decade, going back to California’s fight over school vaccine requirements. He authored SB 277, which ended personal belief exemptions for required school vaccines, and kept pushing after being stalked at his home and business and physically assaulted. Dr. Pan said he decided to run for Congress after watching RFK Jr.’s Senate Finance Committee confirmation hearing, as constituents and reporters called him about the federal government dismantling California’s public health work. He has since amplified reporting that an anti-vaccine group founded by RFK Jr. sued the American Academy of Pediatrics over its vaccine recommendations. Dr. Pan beat RFK Jr. and the anti-vaccine movement in California and says he is “ready to fight it again for truth, science, and families” in Congress.
