On Saturday, January 24, Alex Pretti was shot and killed by masked federal agents in Minnesota. In response, 314 Action President Shaughnessy Naughton released the following statement:
“Alex Pretti should still be with us today but he’s not—because Donald Trump has emboldened federal agents with immunity and they are executing U.S. citizens in the street. While the administration continues to lie and malign Americans exercising their constitutionally protected rights, a young man is dead.
“314 Action joins Dr. Maxine Dexter (D-OR), Robin Kelly (D-IL), and more than a dozen other House Democrats in calling for Kristi Noem’s impeachment and removal. Noem’s rhetorical weaponization of this tragic incident is yet another shameless attempt to cover up one of the biggest scandals in American history—the second murder of a U.S citizen in broad daylight.
“We grieve with Alex’s family, his fellow nurses and colleagues at the VA, and the entire state of Minnesota. This has to stop.”
