Television, Digital, and Mail Accountability Campaign Runs August 11-24
(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — Today, 314 Action launched a $750,000 accountability campaign against Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01), combining television, digital, and mail advertising to hold her accountable for rising healthcare costs in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District. This investment marks $15 million spent by 314 Action this cycle.
The campaign runs from August 11 through August 24, reaching voters across television, digital platforms, and mailboxes simultaneously. Watch the new 15-second and 30-second ads.
“As a doctor in Congress, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks should be standing up for Iowans on healthcare, but instead she’s sided with insurance companies and Donald Trump,” said Shaughnessy Naughton, President of 314 Action. “As the nation’s only organization dedicated to electing scientists and engineers, we’re making sure voters see this message on their TVs, on their social media, and in their mailboxes between now and Election Day. This accountability campaign is about making sure Iowans know who is driving up costs, while paying for bombs instead of healthcare.”
Miller-Meeks has repeatedly supported policies that would strip healthcare coverage from 146,000 Iowans. She’s voted to raise healthcare costs, taken money from Big Pharma, and ignored science, while Americans pay more for healthcare and prescription drugs, face rising cancer rates and multiple infectious disease outbreaks.
